A 7.00 mm step cut zirconia - the flat, mirrored facets of an asscher rather than the fire of a brilliant - held in eight prongs inside an octagon halo. The halo repeats the stone's own eight-sided outline instead of circling it, which is why the face reads as one clean geometric shape at 9.50 mm across rather than a round stone with a frame around it.
The gallery under the halo is cut out in open squares, so light comes in from below and the head does not sit on the finger as a solid block of metal. The band tapers to a fine shank, keeping the weight at 2.50 g.
