The stone at the centre is cut in flat steps rather than the usual brilliant facets, so instead of scattering light it holds a clear window right through the middle. Around it runs a single row of small round stones, and the frame those sit in is what turns a plain solitaire into something with an edge - eight of them, not four, not round.
The whole pendant measures 7.00 x 10.00 mm including the pave bail, small enough to wear against skin every day and still read clearly at conversation distance. It hangs from a fine cable chain that runs 40 cm with a 5 cm extender, so it can sit high at the collarbone or drop just below it.
